Nurse Call System Integration from Biamp Systems

One of the three product unveilings we did at InfoComm13 last month included our Nurse Call system integration package (the other two were Biamp Canvas® Tesira control software and ceiling mics). One of the first things we were asked when we entered the hospital paging and life safety environment was “Why can’t I get my Nurse Call system to automatically play back code messages instead of needing a nurse to make a page?” Over the last couple of years we’ve been perfecting this piece of our Vocia® product line, and we can now address this need for our healthcare end users with the Biamp Nurse Call Integration (NCI) package. Video Case Study: How the NCSU James B. Hunt Library became the library of the future

When we visited North Carolina State University’s new James B. Hunt, Jr. Library in April, we walked into a completely integrated audio/visual environment. Biamp is so proud to have helped power this new learning environment with our AudiaFLEX and Nexia product families! Julian Treasure joined us on our trip and gave us his take on the impact of sound on our daily lives.

But just because the apps are there doesn’t mean you actually use them. Here’s what we’re wondering: • Do you actually use any AV apps? Which ones? • Is it worth it for AV companies to create apps? • If Biamp were to create mobile apps, what kinds of features and functions would you want to see? We understand that apps…
