Biamp products are installed all over the world, from airports to courtrooms to houses of worship. While we are passionate about providing our customers with reliable technology and unmatched customer service and support, we also believe in giving back to the communities where we work and live all around the globe. At Biamp, we have a long history of supporting charitable organizations both through donations and volunteering.

As part of that commitment, we recently participated in a Willamette West Habitat for Humanity building event on Saturday, July 23^rd. Habitat for Humanity’s philosophy is that everyone, everywhere, should have a healthy and affordable place to call home. The organization is dedicated to building hope, building communities, and building opportunities for families to help themselves – a philosophy our employees embrace. This event brought together 23 hardworking volunteers, including 19 Biamp employees.

Software Quality Assurance Engineer Adina Edwards was one of the volunteers that day. She commented, “Although I frequent their ReStores, I had never actually volunteered with Habitat for Humanity until now. This opportunity not only gave me a chance to form a more personal connection with the organization and my community, but also gave my partner and me some real life skills at a time when we’re looking to move into our first home. It was a successful day all around!”

The current Habitat for Humanity location involved a small community of 16 townhouses in varying stages of completion. Some of the homes already had families living in them and needed minor finishing touches, whereas others had only the structured shell standing. The volunteers split into small groups and worked on different projects throughout those homes for the day.
