We are very excited to announce that Biamp has won the prestigious Red Dot Award for our Parlé TCM-X and TTM-X Beamtracking microphones.  The Red Dot Design Award is the world’s most renowned design competition; in 2020 alone, designers and companies from 60 countries entered more than 6,500 products in the competition.

“The international Red Dot Award jury meticulously tested all the entries assessing a wide range of characteristics including aesthetics, materials, level of craftsmanship, surface structure, ergonomics, and functionality. For Biamp to win a Red Dot award for our Parlé X-Series Microphones is an amazing testament to Biamp’s product, manufacturing, and engineering teams,” said Joe Andrulis, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at Biamp. “This award validates Biamp’s focus on relentless innovation and our mission to deliver superior audiovisual experiences to customers around the world.”

Combining sleek low-profile design with cutting edge audio technology, Biamp’s Parlé TCM-X ceiling and TTM-X tabletop microphones are also incredibly easy to install and commission.

The history of the Red Dot Award begins in 1955, when a jury convened for the first time to assess the best designs of the day. In the 1990s, Red Dot CEO Professor Dr. Peter Zec developed the name and brand of the award. The “Red Dot distinction” has been the revered international seal of outstanding design quality. The award winners are presented in Red Dot’s yearbooks, museums, and online.

In order to professionally appraise diversity within the field of design, the Red Dot committee judges candidates based on three disciplines: product design, brands & communication design, and design concept.

“The winners of the Red Dot Award have created excellent products worthy of winning an award. These products won over the jury not only through their aesthetic, but also thanks to their incomparable functionality. With their designs, the award winners are setting new standards in their industry. I wish to congratulate them most sincerely on their success,” said Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot.
