With the holiday season in full swing and the end of the year just a few weeks away, the Biamp team wants to celebrate the amazing work being done by our community partners around the globe. While many of you are aware of our mission to connect people through extraordinary audiovisual experiences, we’re also deeply committed to supporting these values via our community partnership program.

In recognition of these partnerships, we’ve recapped some of our favorite moments of giving back from 2019:

Terence Blanchard’s performance at the 2019 Biamp PDX Jazz Festival

We love the PDX Jazz Festival for how it connects the PDX music community with renowned international artists. We strongly encourage employees to attend performances spanning multiple venues over a 10- day period. This year we had the opportunity to see Academy Award nominee Terence Blanchard perform at Portland’s historic Revolution Hall. It was made even more special due to our team being able to attend, allowing them to experience just how moving the PDX Jazz festival can be.

Our continued partnership with Shared Studios

While we’ve worked with Shared Studios for several years, this organization continues to move us with their emotional stories of how their portals, installed at universities, government buildings, museums, and other public spaces across the globe connect individuals from around the world in who would otherwise never have the chance to meet. The work Shared Studios undertakes is one of the purest distillations of our mission to connect via extraordinary audiovisual experiences, and we’re proud to support the noble work this organization makes possible.

Watching audio engineering students perform at the Live Set Showcase

One of our greatest passions as an organization is supporting the future of audiovisual engineering. This is one reason we’re so excited to partner with Live Set, a youth education program run by Young Audiences of Oregon. As a demonstration of the skills they’ve learned through the program, Live Set students mixed audio for a variety of local bands at Portland’s Mississippi Studios. The audience’s reaction and the smiles on the band members’ faces ably conveyed how much the students had learned during their apprenticeships, and how much the result of their hard work was appreciated.

Looking ahead to 2020, we can’t wait to see what these fantastic organizations have in store as we continue to grow our community partnerships. Learn more at https://www.biamp.com/company/community-involvement.
